The Mississippi Law Journal accepts new members from the 2L class during the first two weeks of the fall and spring semesters. All candidates for membership must have a 3.20 GPA and successfully complete both a publication-quality case note and a Bluebook editing exercise. The number of candidates selected for membership will vary. Deadlines for the fall and spring case note competitions will be announced.
Candidates who rank among the top fifteen students in their class after the completion of their first year of law school will be offered a position on the Journal in the fall semester of their second year, provided they successfully complete both a publication-quality case note and Bluebook editing exercise.
