This year, the Mississippi Law Journal will be renewing the Speakers Bureau, a program that allows an author published
in the Journal a forum to speak on their article’s topic. The purpose of the Bureau is to allow students, faculty, and local attorneys to explore the emerging issues in contemporary law that they have been exposed to through the Journal’s publication. The Journal will be selecting the author whose topic has generated the most interest within the legal community. By bringing a distinguished author to the Ole Miss campus, the Journal hopes to provide an even greater incentive for authors to publish with us, as well as add prestige to the Journal.
While the Bureau is still in the planning stage, several authors committed to publishing have expressed a desire to speak.
We are excited about the response thus far and hope to establish a program that will continue to thrive in the years to come. If you would like more information pertaining to the Speakers Bureau, please contact Julie Howell, Speakers Bureau Chair, at jlhowell@olemiss.edu or (662) 837-0634.
